In order to reduce thigh fat it is necessary to stick to a clearly defined strategy. I know this because I am talking from my experiences of ‘fad dieting’. Eating a balanced diet, exercising regularly, and avoiding “food binges” will certainly help you achieve your goal of sexy thighs. Here is a list I have compiled to point you in the right direction and help you maintain great looking thighs:
1. Lower Your Body’s Fat Percentage
It is not possible to laser target weight loss to a particular part of your body. Generally, if you lose fat, your thigh fat will also be reduced. In most people, weight loss is proportional and consistent. Your metabolic rate will help you lower your body’s overall fat percentage.
2. Increase Your Metabolism
An increased metabolism will help you to automatically burn fat – even when you are sleeping. You should stimulate your metabolic rate as often as possible. This is a safe, natural method that your body is ‘programmed’ to do.
Exercise is a great way to boost your metabolic rate. Try to pick something you enjoy, a strenuous sport like Squash, Tennis or even just running on a treadmill. If you enjoy the workout there is a higher probability that you will stick to it.
4. Eat 5 Meals A Day Instead Of 3
Studies in the US have shown that eating 5 smaller meals per day instead of the common 3 meals is an effective method to naturally increase your metabolism. Every time your body ingests food your metabolism is boosted slightly. The theory is that 5 smaller portions stimulates your metabolic rate twice as much as 3 larger portions.
5. Avoid Processed Foods If Possible
Processed foods are long lasting and found in wrappers, jars, tins etc. These foods tend to contain lots of sugar, salt and are high in fat. Products like sweets, cakes, cookies, sauces and Tomato Ketchup contain more than the daily amount of salt, sugar and fat. Try to balance your diet with healthy foods such as fruits/vegetables, natural salads without the dressing or nuts and grains.
6. Drink Plenty Of Water
Your combined water intake should be a minimum of 2 liters per day. There are many factors to this. Firstly, 90% of your body consists of water so you are drinking the ‘stuff’ that makes you. Secondly, water helps to detox your body by keeping your Liver and Kidneys in good, working order. And finally, water intake will benefit your metabolic rate by increasing it slightly.
